Andy’s Baptism

Congratulations to Andy Davis for his baptism on Sunday. May the 4th be with you – and also with you!

Andy chose to be full immersed in the waters of Poole Harbour – so we travelled to Hamworthy Park for the occasion. It seemed apt having heard the story of Jesus appearing to the disciples and sharing breakfast with them by Lake Galilee that we then visited the beach. Andy and Louise, and their team, had everything prepared for us to follow the baptism with scones, cream, jam and tea, there were also some lovely non-sausage rolls too.

It was great to see so many supporters, and to see others who had gathered getting inspired by Andy’s step of faith. We began by singing ‘Cornerstone’, then Stephen prayed over the water and we declared our faith together. After that Andy shared his testimony, including a verse from Ephesians 2 that spoke of his journey from following the ways of the world to following the ways of God. He acknowledged the support of Louise, St Mary’s Church, and especially Bill who is his supporter/sponsor and he thanked the Lytchett Allsorts and other supporters who had gathered too.
