Safeguarding and Confidentiality

St Mary’s Church takes its responsibilities surrounding the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults who may be at risk, very seriously and works in partnership with the Diocese of Salisbury to ensure that we work in accordance with best practice at all times.

At St Mary’s Church we provide services to a wide range of people. We have contact with children, young people and vulnerable adults. All the St Mary’s Church workers, volunteers and the wider church family play an important role in helping others to live free from abuse and neglect. It is the duty of all staff and volunteers to be actively involved in the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults and to be alert to the possibility and signs of abuse. The following Policy & Procedures has been adopted by the Parochial Church Council (PCC) of St Mary’s Church.
