Small Groups

Currently (Feb 2023) we have one small group meeting on a Thursday morning for fellowship, prayer and bible study. Contact Stephen, the Vicar, for more details.

Stephen is producing short Bible Study notes every fortnight, these are based on one of our Sunday morning readings and are accessible to anyone who wants to use them here:

We also run an annual Alpha course in the Autumn term, where we watch an alpha film, eat puddings together and then discuss different aspects of the Christian faith.

In Lent we run a joint course across the Lytchetts and Upton Benefice. This runs weekly with 2 identical sessions – one at a lunchtime and one in the evening. It is great to meet those from across the different churches in the Benefice, as well as learn and study together.

We plan to grow a new small group each year, which will enable us to have daytime groups, and groups that meet on other days.

Our group guidelines align with the Vision and Values of St Mary’s (see them here)

Along with two more guidelines that we agree to abide by:

Confidentiality – Anything personal shared in the group stays in the group unless permission is given to share more widely.

Attendance – We try to meet fortnightly. If you are unable to be with your group for whatever reason, please let the leader / host know.

Please contact Stephen the Vicar if you are interested in joining our small groups.
