Christmas 2023 – Do join us as we encounter Christ this Christmas
3rd December 2023 – Christingle Service – 4pm @ St Mary’s Church – An All-Age service to create ‘Christingles’, sing seasonal songs and begin to get into the Christmas spirit.
We made a collection for the work of The Children’s Society
10th December 2023 – Community Carol Service – 10.30am @ Village Hall – A modern retelling of the Christmas story and singing of carols – Service led by the Church Family in Lytchett Matravers
We made a collection for the Charity work overseen by Anna the Bread lady who works in Ukraine.
17th December 2023 – Traditional Carol Service – 6pm @ St Mary’s Church – A service of Bible readings and Carols led by the Churches in Harmony choir.
Our Charity will be The Children’s Society and Action for Children, and we will be collecting food donations for the local Foodbank.
24th December 2023 – Nativity Service – 4pm @ St Mary’s Church – Come dressed as your favourite Nativity character for this short retelling of the Nativity story to get us ready for the Big day.
24th December 2023 – Midnight Communion – 11pm @ St Mary’s Church – A traditional service that will end on Christmas day. Bible Readings: Isaiah 52.7-10, John 1.1-14
Hymns: Joy to the world, O little town of Bethlehem, Silent night, While shepherds watched, O Come all ye faithful.
25th December 2023 – All Age Communion – 10am @St Mary’s Church – A shortened service for all-ages with carols, communion and celebration of the big day. Bible Reading: Luke Luke 2.1-20
Hymns/Songs: O come all ye faithful, He shall reign forevermore , See him lying, Hark the herald angels sing.
